Francia Raisa

Raisa started to pursue roles in the acting industry during her senior year in high school. She was doing print advertisements and acting in commercials. She was a guest on sitcoms American Family: Journey of Dreams and Over There. In 2004 Raisa played Tamy Lil' Romeo's "My Girlfriend", and also In the Iyaz's "So big" music video. A month into her final year of high school, she booked one of her first lead roles with Hayden Pnettiere on Bring It On: All or Nothing. She also starred as a co-star in the Nickelodeon movie Shredderman Rules, where she portrayed Isabel as well as in The Cutting Edge: Chasing the Dream as well as The Cutting Edge: Fire and Ice as Alexandra Delgado. She was the character Adrian Lee in the hit ABC Family drama, The Secret Life of the American Teenager starting in July 2008 until its finale in June the year 2013. In 2009, Raisa appeared as Boo as Boo in the short feature film Boo which was directed by David Shenrie in addition to guest-starring in USA Network TV's In Plain Sight. Raisa played co-star with Mike "The Miz' Mizanin in 2013's Christmas Bounty. Raisa from August 2012 the year 2018 until 2022, Raisa was a part of the Freeform program, Grown, executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris. It was her first appearance in four seasons of the show, but left after the graduation of her character at the end the fourth season. Also, she was a part of the 2018 film on television by Freeform, Life-Size 2, opposite Tyra Banks. In May 2021, Raisa was invited to appear in the How I Met Your Mom's spinoff, How I Met Your Father, which first aired on Hulu on January 18, 2022. In February of 2022 the show was renewed again for a 20-episode season.
